Silver Circus Vaudeville Show is a 30-minute variety show that is reminiscent of the vaudeville shows of old. Juggling acts share the stage with songs, stories, and music.
Audiences will see rings, clubs, and balls fly through the air; witness balancing acts and slight-of-hand tricks that defy explanation; and enjoy music that will keep the toe tapping.
Target Audiences:
Independent and Assisted Living facilities, Senior Centers, Nursing Homes, and Memory Care units.
Available for Booking:
Monday Wednesday & Friday mornings
Fees: None!
Silver Circus Vaudeville Show is run entirely by volunteers who ask for only applause and smiles at the end of each show.
Minimum Space Requirements:
Silver Circus Vaudeville Show is a fully-contained show. We provide our own backdrops, sound system, and props. As such, we have certain space requirements:
Melanie Knocke (left) performed in her first circus at around age 8, a backyard affair to raise money for a local charity. And she has been performing in one capacity or another ever since. A former gymnast, juggler, and a beginning banjo player, she met her husband Phil at a juggling club in Los Angeles. In a former life, Melanie was an astronomy educator for 30+ years, working at planetariums and public observatories around the country.
Phil Knocke (right) is a retired aerospace engineer who worked on the Mars Exploration Rover program and other missions at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. Phil learned how to juggle while preparing for his PhD qualification exams, and has been juggling to relieve stress ever since.
Charles Knocke (center) was born into the biz (as the son of Phil and Melanie).
